早期的奇奇蒂蒂是跟随米老鼠唐老鸭以及大狗布鲁托而出场。他们为了争取储存到更多食物（榛子，橡果），与唐老鸭，布鲁托展开了许多啼笑皆非的较量。1947年在《Chip an’ Dale》拥有自己正式的名子，和彼此在牙齿，鼻子，毛发上面的区别。
《救援突击队》，又译《救難小福星》，《小松鼠歷險記》，是美国迪士尼公司推出的动画剧集，从1989年3月4日起播出。本片主角是迪士尼的经典人物：两只花栗鼠奇奇和蒂蒂。台湾华视于1991年引进播放，香港无线电视亦于1990年代播出，之后剧集中的一部分曾经由中录德加拉在大陆发行过中文版VCD。
