红火箭分级读物（Red Rocket Reader）近几年是超级网红般的存在，甚至和大名鼎鼎的牛津树，RAZ, 海尼曼等并驾齐驱，得到了各位妈妈的吹捧和独宠。红火箭分级读物的特点：①海尼曼作者Pam Holden编著；②完全零基础入门；③高度趣味性的故事与高频率词汇的结合。正因为有海尼曼的鼎鼎大名以及它自身的趣味性，红火箭一上市就一炮打响，称为英语分级读物界的网红。阅读推广人，教育工作者，英语培训机构都开始立荐这套分级读物，甚至纳入学校当教材使用。
以上图片来自红火箭官网，不难看出，红火箭一共分了15个级别，这里每个级别都用不同的颜色进行标注，紫、粉、玫红等。国内目前引入两个级别，一个是基础级：从紫色的Foundation Level到红色的Early Level 1，称为蓝盒子。一个是进阶级：从黄色的Early Level 2到绿色的Early Level 4，称为黄盒子。也就是说，根据官方的建议年龄，蓝盒子+黄盒子的300+读本，适合4-7岁（幼儿园~小学1年级）的孩子阅读。
★蓝盒子：
第一阶段是蓝色盒子，包含了Foundation Level、Pre-Reading Level、Emergent Level 和 Early Level 1四个level，共计175本，单本词汇量70以下，适合零基础或稍有基础的孩子。从它的整体结构图中，我们可以看到该套教材的适合年龄是4-6岁，蓝思指数为BR-70 。蓝盒子里根据难易程度，分为了四个不同的颜色，每一个颜色都对应一个level。
● Foundation Level: （适合完全0基础孩子） 这一级别的中文名字叫做字母探险家，总共31本。每本以26个英文字母为开头的单词为内容，以及两字母发一音的单词为内容，一套下来248个单词孩子虽说不能完全掌握，但也是基本七七八八能记住。背面也将字母的写法示意出来，线条指示配合文字，帮助孩子练习书写。
● Pre-Reading Level：（适合幼儿园小班，中班孩子） 这个级别的封面是粉红色的，总共48本书，包含了24本故事书和24本科普书。每本书16页，每页不超过5个单词。这个系列包含的主题有：衣服，玩具，头和身体，感觉和动作，水果，蔬菜，食物和饮料，花和昆虫，海底世界，动物园，乐器，运动，数字，形状和颜色，天气和职业等。同时，它采用相同的句式“字母X is for X”，让孩子反复学习字母在单词里的发音，培养孩子的音素意识，巩固Alphabet Explorers中所学单词，并且开始介绍最基础的sight words，比如 is, for, the。
● Emergent Level：（适合已经有24个字母基础，幼儿园中班，大班） 这个level 总共48本书，书本封面是玫红色，和Pre-Reading Level 一样，包含24本故事类，24本科普类，每本16页，每页单词在5-6个左右。这个系列在上一阶段的基础上，增加了幼儿园级别大纲上要求掌握的众多的sight words，并且每一页都重复使用同一句式、同一短语、同一单词，带孩子完成迅速积累。
● Early Level 1：（适合已经有一定基础，或者牛津树1级已完成，1级以上的孩子） 这个level 同样48本书，24本故事书，24本科普书，书的封面为红色。从这个level 开始，开始进行自然拼读的学习，复数、比较级，时态，以及标点的应用，将由图画和短句的阅读，过渡到更复杂的长句阅读，正式开始迈向阅读。
★黄盒子
红火箭的第二个阶段是黄色箱，包含了Early Level 2、Early Level 3、Early Level 4 三部分，共计144本书，蓝思指数为80-450。
● Early Level 2: （适合幼儿园大班-一年级孩子） 总共48本，24本故事书，24本科普书。每本16页，单本词汇量在130个左右，图书封面是黄色。这个阶段 ，孩子能够学习到更多的sigth words 和更多的主题，比如数字，颜色，天气等等。同时加入了引号和问号的应用，后缀-er、-ing…复合词into、zookeeper…缩写词can’t、It’s… 培养视觉识别力come/some/coming..本级别故事类读物加入了更多的文学题材，科普类读物注重培养孩子提取信息的能力。
● Early Level 3: (适合一年级6-7岁的孩子） 同样48本书，24本故事类，24本科普类，图书封面颜色为蓝色。在这一阶段，孩子开始学习更多的拼读知识和字母组合。同时加入了数字单词、象声词，反义词的应用等。这一阶段故事类的情节更加复杂了，纪实类的信息量更大了，孩子们将会学到更多的阅读技巧和丰富有趣的知识。 ● Early Level 4: (适合小学低年级学生） 这个level 是黄盒子最后一个level 了，绿色书皮，共48本书，24本故事书，24本科普书。这个级别加大了生词量和新句式，但配图可以帮助孩子理解故事情节和猜词。孩子们将进一步认识英文形容词最高级的用法, 以及动词过去时态如 could, had的用法。
